Previewable file types in Proton Drive
Proton Drive lets you preview certain file types — no need to open them first. This makes it easier to quickly find or download the file you’re looking for.
To identify a file type, check the file name. The file extension — the letters after the period (e.g., .pdf, .jpg) — indicates the file type.
In the web app
Here are the types of images, videos, text, and other files you can preview using the Proton Drive web app(new window):

In the iOS app
In addition to the file types supported in the web app, the Proton Drive iOS app(new window) allows you to preview more file formats, including iWork documents, Microsoft Office files, and Live Photos.
This expanded support is made possible by Apple’s Quick Look framework(new window), which enables previews and basic interactions for various file types on iOS devices.
In the Android app
File previews on the Proton Drive Android app(new window) are powered by the mobile operating system itself, so support may vary slightly depending on your device, Android version, and system codecs available.
For more details, see the official Android documentation(new window) on supported formats.
