How to sync 2FA codes across devices

To sync your 2FA codes across multiples devices, you’ll need to log in to your Proton Account. If you already have one, you can log in within Proton Authenticator. If you don’t have one, follow the steps listed below to create one.

If you want to be able to access your codes on multiple Apple devices, you can also do so using iCloud.

How to sync your 2FA codes

Select Settings.

In the Security section, select Sync between devices.

You’ll be prompted to either log in to your existing Proton Account, or to create one.

Once you’ve logged in to a Proton Account, the toggle for syncing between devices will switch on.
