How to back up 2FA codes in Proton Authenticator

Proton Authenticator gives you flexibility when backing up and accessing your 2FA codes.

You can back them up to iCloud on Apple devices or to a location of your choice on Android devices. If you’re using an Android device, you can also choose the frequency of when your backups will be updated.

To switch on backups, select ⚙ Settings.

Then, in the Security section, you can toggle backups on or off. If you’re using an Apple device, your data will periodically save to your iCloud.

If you’re using an Android device, you can select the location to store your backups and the frequency for backups to be created.
