Proton

Proton Mail is open source software that is now entirely funded by the community, and our annual community survey plays an incredibly important role in determining how Proton Mail will evolve and expand. This year, we welcomed millions of new members into our community whose opinions will be reflected in the annual survey for the first time ever.

Proton Mail exist solely to serve the global community, and the only opinions we care about are yours. Unlike other Internet companies, we are not beholden to advertisers or other outside interests. One of the things that makes Proton Mail unique is that the community directly votes on what should get built, and the development team is quite literally directed by the community. The survey helps us to determine the optimal allocation of resources in order to maximize the benefit to the community.

You can participate in our annual survey at the link below. The poll takes approximately 3-5 minutes to complete: 2017 Community Survey

The annual surveys are also a way to stimulate discussions within the community about the future path of our services (Proton Mail, Proton VPN, etc), so we look forward to hearing your thoughts in the comments on Twitter, Facebook, or Reddit.

If you would like to participate more deeply in Proton Mail’s roadmap and product development, you can also suggest features and vote on ideas at our public ideas board: Proton Mail Ideas Board(nuova finestra)

With your support, we look forward to continuing to improve Proton Mail in 2018 and beyond!
