Proton Mail announces new security features (including WKD, DANE, and MTA-STS)
and working on improvements to provide users with more protection against
attackers.
Open source is a core principle of Proton Mail. We’re excited to make even more
of our code available (GoOpenPGP) for independent inspection and use by the
developer community.
We are happy to announce that the European Commission has awarded €2 million to
Proton AG, the parent company of Proton Mail and Proton VPN, to develop a suite
of encrypted services.
Earlier today claims appeared that Proton Mail is compromised because of an
alleged connection between our SSL certificates and DarkMatter, a shadowy
cybersecurity company. These allegations are false, as we will explain.
Our first-ever charity auction has exceeded all expectations, generating over
€30,000 for three organizations dedicated to human rights and online privacy.
