How to turn off photo backup
Proton Drive’s photo backup feature lets you backup images from your mobile device. If, for whatever reason, you need to turn off this feature, you can do so in just a few simple steps.
Note that even if you turn off photo backup your pictures will remain in Proton Drive. You can once again enable backup whenever you’d like. To remove photos from Proton Drive entirely, you must delete them in the app.
How to turn off photo backup on Android
- Open the Proton Drive app. Tap the menu button (≡) in the top left corner.
- Tap Settings.
- Locate the Photos backup option within the settings. Tap it.
- You’ll be brought to a new screen. Tap the toggle switch next to Photos backup to turn off automatic backup. Once off, it will turn gray.
- To turn photo backup on again, tap the same toggle switch again.
How to turn off photo backup on iPhone
- Navigate to the Settings section within the app.
- Locate and tap the Photos backup option.
- To pause the backup, simply turn the toggle switch next to Photos backup off.
- Note: All previously backed-up photos will remain securely stored in the cloud even after pausing the backup.
- To re-enable photo backup, you can turn the same toggle switch back on.
