How the Proton referral program works

Get link

Open the Proton web app and go to account.proton.me/referral to find your referral link.

Step 2

Send invites

Share the link with anybody that doesn't already use Proton. They can try any paid plan for free for two weeks and get $20 off their subscription. They don't even need a credit card to sign up.*

Step 3

Earn rewards

You'll earn $20 in Proton credits for each friend that signs up for any paid plan. You can track how many friends subscribed using your link. Earn up to $1,000 in credit.

*Credit card information is required to sign up for Proton VPN and Unlimited.

Who is eligible to get a referral link?: Anyone who doesn't already have a Proton Account is eligible to get a two-week free trial of any paid Proton plan and $20 off their subscription if they sign up using a referral link.
What plans and services are part of the referral program?: The referral program offers discounts on any individual paid plan for any Proton service, including:
Proton Mail Plus
Proton VPN Plus
Proton Drive Plus
Proton Pass Plus
Proton Unlimited, which gives you access to all premium features for all Proton services, is also part of the referral program.
Where can I find my referral link?: Log in to mail.proton.me and click the Refer friends button in the toolbar. Or, log in to account.proton.me and click Refer a friend in the menu bar.
