How to set up Proton Pass on your iPhone or iPad
1. Download and install Proton Pass for iOS and iPadOS(new window)
2. Sign in
If you use any Proton service, including Proton Mail, Proton Drive, Proton Calendar, or Proton Pass, or if you already have a Proton VPN account, you can sign in using your Proton Account username and password.
Open the app and tap Create an account if you don’t already have a Proton Account. Once you’ve created an account, you can Sign in. If you already have a Proton Account, just Sign in using your Proton Account username and password.
How to enable autofill
The easiest way to use Proton Pass is to allow it to fill in your login details (your username and password) for you, which requires setting Proton Pass as the default password manager on your iPhone or iPad’s autofill settings. To do this, tap Go to Settings when you see this prompt from the Proton Pass app.
This opens the iOS/iPadOS Passwords settings. Confirm your identity with Face ID or Touch ID, and tap Password Options. Ensure AutoFill Passwords is toggled on and select Proton Pass from the list.
If you prefer not to set Proton Pass as your default autofill app at this time, you’ll need to manually copy and paste your login details from Proton Pass to apps and web pages.

To enable Proton Pass at a future point, open the app and go to Profile → Autofill disabled → Open Settings.
When you enable autofill, you’ll be asked if you want to enable it for QuickType bar suggestions (enabled by default) and to Copy 2FA codes.
To enable (or disable) these settings at any time, open the Proton Pass app, go to Profile and toggle the QuickType bar suggestions and Copy 2FA code buttons on (or off).
Return to the Proton Pass app and tap Next.
How to enable biometric unlock
Depending on your iPhone or iPad model, Touch ID or Face ID provide a quick and convenient way to access your logins. To enable biometric login, simply tap Enable Touch ID or Enable Face ID, confirm your biometric ID when prompted, then tap Next at the confirmation screen.
To enable fingerprint unlock at a future point, open the app and go to Profile → Touch ID or Face ID and toggle the switch on.
