How to customize your Proton business plan
You can easily tailor your Proton business plan to fit the needs of your business.

What’s included in Proton business plans?
By default, all Proton business plans include Proton Mail(nouvelle fenêtre), Proton Calendar(nouvelle fenêtre), Proton Drive(nouvelle fenêtre), and Proton VPN(nouvelle fenêtre) for one user. You can add extra users when you sign up or add/remove them in your Proton Account later.
Each user comes with a certain amount of storage space plus a number of email addresses, and each user can connect to our VPN service on 1 or up to 10 devices at the same time, depending on your plan.

For example, if you have a Proton Business Suite plan with four users, you’ll have a total of:
- 4 x 500 GB = 2000 GB (2 TB) of storage
- 4 x 20 = 80 addresses
- 4 x 10 = 40 VPN connections
As an administrator(nouvelle fenêtre), you can allocate your total storage (in this example, 2 TB) between your users as you wish. You can also create any number of addresses for each user up to your total address limit (in this example, 80).
You can also switch VPN connections on or off for each user (which sets the number of connections to 0 or 10). But you can’t redistribute VPN connections among your user accounts. The number of VPN connections per user is capped at 10.
So if you have four users in your organization, they can connect to Proton VPN on up to 40 devices at once using four user accounts.
How to customize your plan
With Proton Mail Essentials, Proton Mail Professional, and Proton Business Suite, you can add or remove users. With Proton Business Suite, you can also add extra custom domains(nouvelle fenêtre).

Adding and removing users
To increase or decrease the number of users in your Proton for Business plan:
1. Log in to your Proton Account at account.proton.me and select Settings → All settings → Dashboard → Your plan.
2. Select Customize plan.
3. Select the + / – buttons next to Number of users to add or remove users.
4. Click Continue to go to the checkout and pay if you’ve added users. If you’ve removed users, we’ll provide a prorated credit to your account based on the duration remaining on your original contract and the number of users you have removed.

Adding a custom domain
To add a custom domain to your Proton Account so you can create email addresses @yourdomain.com:
1. Log in to your account at account.proton.me and select Settings → All settings → Organization → Domain names.
2. Click Add domain.
3. Enter your new domain name and click Next. You might be asked to re-enter your Proton password.
4. Follow the steps to verify and set up your domain.

Deleting a custom domain
To remove a custom domain from your Proton Account:
1. Log in to your account at account.proton.me and select Settings → All settings → Organization → Domain names.
2. Find the domain name you wish to delete. In the Actions column, select Delete in the dropdown menu.
3. Re-enter your password to confirm the deletion. Your domain is now deleted.
Adding extra custom domains (Proton Business Suite only)
With Proton Business Suite, it’s easy to set up a custom domain(nouvelle fenêtre) to send and receive emails at your business’s domain (@yourbusiness.com).
With our Mail Essentials plan, you can use up to three custom domains. If you need more, our Proton Business Suite plan includes support for up to 15 domains by default, and you can add extra domains anytime to suit your needs.
To add domains to your Business Suite plan:
1. Log in to your Proton Account at account.proton.me and select Settings → All settings → Dashboard → Your plan.
2. Select Customize plan.
3. Select the + / – buttons next to Custom email domains to add or remove domains.
4. Click Continue to go to the checkout and pay if you’ve added domains. If you’ve removed domains, we’ll provide a prorated credit to your account based on the duration remaining on your original contract and the number of domains you have removed.

Changing your billing cycle
To change the billing period for your Proton business plan:
1. Log in to your Proton Account at account.proton.me and select Settings → All settings → Dashboard → Your plan.
2. Select Edit billing details.
3. Choose a new billing period from the billing cycle dropdown menu.
4. Select Confirm if there is nothing to pay or Pay… to continue to the checkout.
Changing your billing currency
To change the currency you use to pay for your Proton business plan:
1. Log in to your Proton Account at account.proton.me and select Settings → All settings → Dashboard → Your plan.
2. Select Customize plan.
3. In the Plan summary, choose the currency you want to switch to.
4. Click Continue to check out.
Note: Changing the currency also extends the duration of your plan, which means you’ll be charged again but not the full amount. Depending on how long the plan has been used, you’ll only be charged the difference for the extension.
For example, if you pay monthly on August 10, your paid plan will last until September 10. If you then decide to change the currency on August 20, your plan will be extended until September 20, but you will only be charged for the 10-day difference, not the full amount for one month.
Adding a coupon or gift code
Coupons are special subscription discounts that we may apply to your account if you signed up for a special promotion. Our Customer Support team may also give you a discount coupon for special situations, for example, to rectify a billing mistake.
Gift codes are also a type of discount coupon. There are two ways to add gift codes to your account.
In the Dashboard
1. Log in to your Proton Account at account.proton.me and select Settings → All settings → Dashboard → Gift code.
2. Add your code in the Gift code field and click Submit.
At the checkout
1. Log in to your Proton Account at account.proton.me and select Settings → All settings → Dashboard → Your plan.
2. After you edit your billing details, customize your plan, or change it, select Add a gift code at the checkout.
3. Add your code in the Gift code field and click Apply.
