Since 2018, the Proton community has helped raise more than $4 million in direct grants to over 40 organizations defending privacy, free speech, and human rights.
Now it’s time to choose this year’s beneficiaries. We’re asking you to nominate the organizations you believe are making a real difference. We’ll select 10 to receive support in the 2025 Proton Lifetime Account Charity Fundraiser.
The deadline to nominate is November 24, 2025. Please note: Submitting multiple entries for one organization will not increase the chances that it will be selected.

How the fundraiser works
Our annual fundraiser is a raffle for 10 Proton Lifetime Accounts — our most exclusive plan. It’s no longer for sale, so the only way to get one is through this charity raffle. Each Lifetime Account unlocks every Proton feature, with the highest storage across all current and future products, forever.
Lifetime Accounts are fully transferable, and in the past have sold on the secondary market for between $5,000 and $15,000. If you own a Lifetime Account and would like to sell it, our team is available to help you with the transfer. As Proton adds new products and services, Lifetime Accounts only become more valuable.
Raffle tickets cost $10 each, and anyone can participate. Ten lucky winners will be announced in January.
In the past, we’ve awarded an additional Lifetime Account to a random social media follower. This year’s event adds a twist: Instead of a random selection, we’re launching a social media contest for the 11th Lifetime Account. When the raffle winners are announced, we’ll also share how much money you helped raise. The total will be divided among the 10 organizations and select past beneficiaries, and the Proton Foundation will match donations up to $200,000.
Last year, our community helped raise an incredible $1,077,470. Let’s see if we can top it.
