Finding the version number of your Android or iOS device
Android:
- Touch the “Home” button underneath your Android’s LCD screen to go back to the “Home” screen. Then tap the “Menu” button located to the right of the “Home” button.
- Tap the “Settings” icon from the menu that appears on the screen.
- Slide your finger up your Android phone’s screen to scroll all the way to the bottom of the Settings menu. Tap “About Phone” at the bottom of the menu.
- Tap the “Software Information” option on the About Phone menu. The first entry on the page that loads will be your current Android software version.
iOS:
To determine which iOS software your device uses, go to Settings > General > About > Version.
To update the iOS, connect your device to your computer and install the latest iOS using iTunes.
You can install future updates from your device by tapping Settings > General > Software Update.
