Why protect your photos with end-to-end encryption?
Keep Big Tech out of your memories
When you back up your photos and videos to other photo backup services, you hand over your most sensitive files to be scanned and potentially exposed.
End-to-end encryption ensures no one but you can access the photos and videos you back up, not even Proton.
Your photos and files can be leaked or hacked
Proton Drive has end-to-end and zero-access encryption that ensures your photos and videos do not fall into the wrong hands even in the unlikely event of a data breach.
Photos of sensitive documents such as passports and medical records can be exposed in hacks and data breaches if they are not protected by end-to-end encryption.
Your photos contain private information
Your photos contain precious memories and emotional value. They also contain important information such as your biometric data and precise location.
