With Lumo AI, you can upload an image for analysis, generate images from a description, edit an existing image file, or turn a rough sketch into a finished visual, simply by telling Lumo what you need. Lumo can work with text, images, and uploaded files in the same conversation.

Like your conversations, all images and uploaded files in Lumo are protected by zero-access encryption. No one else, not even Proton, can access them.

This feature is available to all Lumo users, on both web and mobile apps.

In this article, we explain how to:

Generate an image

There are three ways to create images in Lumo:

A. Simply type your image prompt in the chat window.

Edit an image

Once you’ve generated or uploaded an image, describe the edits you want Lumo to make. Lumo will apply your edits and return the updated image in the same conversation.

If you have your generated image already open in the conversation, you can also select Modify in the bottom-left corner of the image, then select or describe the changes you want to make.

Analyze an image or file

  1. Start by uploading your file or image.
  2. Describe how you want Lumo to analyze it in the chat window.

For example, you can ask Lumo to suggest dinner dishes based on a photo of what you have in your fridge, or get it to summarize a legal contract.

Turn a sketch into a finished image

  1. First, upload your sketch to Lumo.
  2. Ask Lumo to create an image based on your sketch. For best results, add context or specific descriptions such as “Make the background purple” or “Use a watercolor style”.

Lumo will return a finished image in the same conversation.
