How to record a meeting in Proton Meet

With a paid Proton Meet subscription, meeting hosts can record calls and save the footage locally to their computer.
Recording is available on:
- Proton Meet for web (all browsers except for Mozilla Firefox)
- Proton Meet desktop apps (Windows, macOS, Linux)
How to record a call
To start recording, select the Record ⏺️ button in the meeting controls.

Proton Meet will capture everything visible in the meeting window. Other participants will be notified that recording has started, and they will have the option to continue or leave the meeting.

To stop a recording, select Stop recording.

Your recording will be saved locally to MP4 format:
- Web app: Your browser will use its default download location or prompt you to choose where to save the file, depending on your browser settings.
- Desktop apps: You’ll be asked to choose a save location and file name.
