With a paid Proton Mail subscription(nytt fönster), you can send and receive messages from multiple email addresses. So if you have multiple Proton Mail accounts, you can merge them and manage all your communications in one inbox.
To do this, you’ll need to delete your extra accounts then add their email addresses to your primary account.
How to merge your Proton Mail accounts
- Export emails and data from your secondary account
To merge two Proton Mail accounts, you need to permanently delete one of them.
If you want to keep emails, contacts, calendars (Proton Calendar), files (Proton Drive), passwords (Proton Pass), or any other data from the account you’re deleting, download or export it before you start.
How to export emails from Proton Mail
- Sign in to your secondary account (the one you want to delete) and open your account and password settings (⚙ Settings → All settings → Account and password).
- Scroll to Delete account and click Delete your account.

- In the What is the main reason you are deleting your account dropdown, select I’d like to merge this account into another one. Click Continue and follow the instructions to delete your account.

Now you’ve deleted your secondary account, you can add its email address to your primary account. It’s important to do this right away. Here’s how:
- Sign in to your primary account and open your account settings (⚙ Settings → All settings).
- Select Identity and addresses from the sidebar. Scroll to My addresses and click Add address.

- Enter the email address from the account you just deleted. Add a display name, then click Save address.

All done. The address from the account you deleted has been added to your primary account. You can now send and receive messages using this address.
