How to delete your Proton Account
When you delete your Proton Account, there is no way to recover it. Your account and all its data will be permanently deleted from our systems.
Things to know before you delete your account
Deleting your account affects all Proton services
Your account will be deleted from Proton Mail, Proton Calendar, Proton VPN, Proton Pass, Proton Drive, and any other Proton services you use.
We don’t recycle usernames
If you delete your account, your username can’t be used by someone else, or for any new accounts you create in the future.
This also means deleting your account won’t allow you to change your email domain (for example, from @protonmail.com to @proton.me). You can do this by upgrading to a paid Proton Mail plan.
If you want to combine your account with another one
Check out our guide to merging Proton Accounts.
