My trial has ended, and I can’t access my account. Why?

If you don’t upgrade to a paid Proton Mail or Proton Drive plan by the end of your trial, we’ll downgrade your account to a Free plan.

However, if your account exceeds the limits of our Proton Free plan (e.g., you’ve used more storage than that available in Proton Free), your account will become delinquent until you upgrade. If you do nothing, access to your account will be limited and eventually disabled.

My trial is coming to an end, but I’m not ready to subscribe yet. Do I need to cancel?

You can downgrade to a Free plan from your Proton Account dashboard anytime during the trial. You can upgrade anytime later when you’re ready.
