Using Proton Meet on mobile

Proton Meet is a secure, end-to-end encrypted video conferencing app. With our iOS and Android apps, you quickly host and join meetings, create rooms, share your screen (iOS only), and chat with other participants.

Download Proton Meet for mobile

You can download Proton Meet from our website.

Once downloaded, you can use Proton Meet in guest mode, or sign in to your Proton Account to access more features.

Start an instant meeting

Tap Create meeting → Start an instant meeting.

Create a meeting room

1. Tap Create meeting → Create new room.

2. Enter a room name and tap Create and copy link. You can now share the meeting link so others can join.

3. Tap the meeting room and select Join meeting.

You can also tap Copy 📋 to copy the meeting link and share it with others.

If you don’t delete the room, participants can reuse the same link for future meetings. Deleting a meeting room permanently removes its link.

Use your personal meeting room

Your personal meeting room is always available, and anyone with the link can access it.

Tap My rooms → Personal meeting room → Join meeting.

You can tap Copy 📋 to copy your personal meeting link and share it with others.

Unlike a regular meeting room, your personal meeting room cannot be deleted. You can change the link once per day by selecting Regenerate link.

Join a meeting using a link

1. Tap Create meeting.
2. Select Join with a link.

3. Paste the meeting link and tap Join meeting to participate in a video conference immediately.

When you tap a Proton Meet link, the app opens and takes you to the join screen automatically.

Schedule a meeting

1. Tap Create meeting → Schedule a meeting.

2. Fill in meeting details:
   • Title
   • Date and time
   • Duration
   • Timezone
   • Occurence
3. Click Save.

This creates an entry in My meetings and automatically generates a secure meeting link.

Next, you can:

• Tap Copy 📋 to copy the link and share it with others
• Done to complete setup and return to the home screen
• Add to calendar and choose between:
  • Add to phone calendar to add the meeting to your device’s calendar
  • Add to Google Calendar to add the meeting to Google Calendar
  • Share event file to share the ICS calendar file that you or others can import into a calendar app

You can also schedule a meeting in the Proton Meet web app, Proton Meet desktop app, or Proton Calendar app, and automatically send email invitations to both Proton and non-Proton users. Invitees can join even if they do not have a Proton Account.

Videoconferencing features

Once connected, all participants have access to videoconferencing features like screen share and meeting chat. Call hosts also have access to video recording and extra moderating features.
